Sanxiantai coastal view of Provincial Highway No.11 will stay in the traveler's memories. After touring Sanxiantai, there is a nice place on Provincial Highway No.11 to take a rest and enjoy a cup of coffee as well as interesting indoor activities such as roasting and grinding beans.

2 specialities of the experience:

1. It is not a foodie cafe that jumps on the bandwagon but the showroom of agricultural produce from the farmers’ association in Chenggong Town
2. The materials are not coffee beans from abroad but local grown coffee beans nourished by the sea breeze
The shop uses small sized direct fire coffee roaster, which looks tiny and lovely, a good tool for novices. If you love drinking coffee but never tried to roast beans, it’s a good opportunity to try. The flavor is directly influenced by the roast result, so watch out for the instructions during operation.

Generally, stores use machines to grind the beans after roasting. But tourists can experience the grinding by pounding the beans here. It is not as easy as imagined that takes quite some efforts. Tourists may feel it is well grinded but always got rejected because it has to be finely grinded to brew the coffee. We recommend to work together or give kids a chance to try!

THE MOST INTRIGUING QUESTION

Why is coffee grown in the country town by the sea? 10 years ago, some of the farmers started to grow coffee under the betel nut trees. The coffee grows with the sea breeze. There are about 20 coffee farmers in the Coffee Production and Marketing Group taking care of 15 hectares of coffee trees with the annual production around some 7000 kilograms only.

Coffee has been grown here for some time, it is not a product following the market trend!
